[Socknitters] Digest Number 10487 - Inbox - Yahoo! Mail: "If you can find an ankle sock pattern then do the following: Cast on
something like 4X the stitches needed. Knit 1 or 2 rows plain, then
K2tog, K2 around. Knit 1-2 plain rows, then K2tog, K1 around, knit
another row or two plain then K2tog around. That should give you a nice
ruffle and leave you at the right stitch count for your ankle sock.

Stumbling Over Chaos :: Enough with this Monday stuff (now with dishcloth pattern!)
Stumbling Over Chaos :: Enough with this Monday stuff (now with dishcloth pattern!): "Row 1 (wrong side): P1, *purl the second stitch on the needle, purl the first stitch on the needle, slide both stitches off the needle*, P1
Row 2 (right side): *pass the right-hand needle behind the first stitch to knit the second stitch on the needle, knit the first stitch “in the usual way,” slip both stitches off the needle* (On Row 2, make sure you get both stitches off the needle! I had trouble with that if I wasn’t paying close attention.)
Knit until you like the size, then bind off. I’m still experimenting with bind offs. Whatever you do, don’t bind off in pattern! You’ll end up with a very wide bind off row. Trust me on that one."
This was not my pattern just throwing it out there so you could try it if you wanted. It doesn[t look too hard and is pretty with lots of colors.

"There's an old sea story in the Navy about a ship's Captain who inspected his sailors, and afterward told the Chief Boson's Mate that his men smelled bad.** *
* **The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would change underwear occasionally. *
* ** The Chief responded, 'Aye, aye sir, I'll see to it immediately!'
*
* The Chief went straight to the sailors berth deck and announced, 'The Captain thinks you guys smell bad and wants you to change your underwear. *
*
*
* 'Pittman, you change with Jones; McCarthy, you change with Witkowski; and Brown, you change with Schultz. Now get to it!!!' *
*
*
* **THE MORAL:
*
* **Someone may be promising 'Change' in Washington ; but don't count on things smelling any better! *"

thank you God!!!
WE now know some of the things Phil does not have and they are all things we didn't want. Sometimes that is how it works. You don't know what it is so you start eliminating. We are now pretty sure we know what it's not ie, The big C or Lyme's disease. We will keep working til we know what it is. At least we can rest tonight without the big one hanging over us.

pray for Phil
I am no good with this kind of shit and all I feel right now is angry. We are just getting to the best part and I won't have any part of this . Do you hear me?

Jack is with me
Alot of things have happened this summer. My precious grandchidren and great grandchildren have come and gone and we even got a new one!! But the best was saved for last. Not because I love him more, I love them all, but rather, because he loves me more. We are joined in this life and all others.
